Office Updates | Maginnis Orthodontics

Dear Patients, Families, and Friends:

As restrictions in our state and community begin to loosen, I want to share our current plan for re-opening and getting your appointments scheduled.  PLEASE NOTE that the dates that follow are only tentative.  As instructions become available from our governing bodies, we will send another email with definitive guidance.  Today I would like to share my thoughts about the path ahead to simply keep you apprised.  The main thing that I want to convey is that we are going to make this process effortless for you and hope to remove at least one stressor from your day!

  • Based on the information we have today, our team will start makingCALLS to reschedule appointments on Monday, May 4.  I know that everyone will be eager to come in as quickly as possible (and we are eager to see you, as well), but we are going to order our schedule appointments by “urgency,” as opposed to “picking up where we left off.” This is largely owed to my expectation that the reopening guidelines will temporarily limit the number of patients we can see per day. Thus, we ask your cooperation in allowing our team to contact you to reschedule, instead of calling our office.
  • Based on current guidelines, our practice is set to open for regular appointments on May 18, 2020, although this is subject to change. There will likely be a number of “procedural changes” that you’ll note at your next visit, such as our adherence to the maintenance of social distancing protocols (6 feet) in common areas, including the clinic. To reduce crowding, we may even have team member meet you at your car to check you in, thereby reducing the number of people in lobby while expediting your visit.  More to come but know that we’ve worked tirelessly preparing plans for a safe and orderly return to work.

Our next email blast will go out as soon as can begin scheduling appointments and will include any action steps needed on your part as referenced above. We absolutely want to set the bar in delivering excellence in the “new normal,” and communication is going to be the key. So, keep an eye out for that email, and we’ll start calling everyone individually at that time.

I can’t thank you enough for your support and cooperation during this difficult and unprecedented period.  We’ll be praying for your safety and well-being in the interim and can’t wait to see you back in the office soon!

Warm regards,

Jim Maginnis, DDS, MS
